PAST | PRESENT | FUTURE 50th Anniversary

We are celebrating! For 50 years, Groveland Gallery has had the privilege of exhibiting and selling art by some of Minnesota's and the region's finest artists. The gallery has been honored to help collectors and collections across the country acquire art by the talented and creative artist we represent.

Our relationships with these two constituencies has allowed us to successfully exist in what is widely considered to be a hard to sustain business. During these five decades, Groveland has shown the work of over two hundred artists. Some artists only worked with us for one show, others have been exhibiting at Groveland for the full fifty years. All have in common skillfulness, intelligence, creativity and dedication to producing the finest of fine art. We have always considered our relationship as a collaboration with each of us dedicated to ensuring the gallery is an exceptional place to show, discover, and collect art.

We are grateful to our dedicated followers and supporters for their enthusiasm and love of art. They are a varied group; some have purchased one piece of art, others have homes and offices filled with art from the gallery. Many visit Groveland to regularly admire the work created by our artists.

This fifty-year time span has afforded us the opportunity to develop relationships with our artists and visitors. We have welcomed the children and grandchildren of our first collectors and artists. We've celebrated anniversaries and birthdays, and honored those who have passed away.

We've witnessed our artists achieve great success and endure difficult times. We've seen their work evolve and emerge newly considered time and time again. We have delighted in observing collectors become giddy with the prospect of bringing a new piece of art into their lives. We have enjoyed intelligent conversations and thoughtful observations by visitors to the gallery. We thank everyone who has been a part of this fantastic endeavor.

Happily, we look forward to many more years nurturing this community. There seems to be no end of brilliant artists and art appreciators, a future also worthy of celebrating!
