What does July 1st 2013 mean for employees and employers? From the 1st July 2013 there are some major changes for compulsory superannuation. It will be increasing from 9% - 9.25%. This is the start of a progressive increase to 12% by 2019. Also from the 1st of July there will be no upper age limit for paying super to an employee. This limit has been removed to encourage mature workers to stay in the workforce. Also from the 1st July super contributions may need to be added to the payslips with the date paid â&#x20AC;&#x201C; this is not legislation yet!
