Elm Grove Conference Centre London City, London SW15 5PU

Elm Grove Conference Centre is on the stunning parkland campus of Roehampton University in south west London. It offers two floors of meeting space and boasts 98” plasma screens, touch screen controls for sound and floor to ceiling windows for natural daylight. The Oak Suite is the largest space welcoming up to 140 delegates for a theatre-style presentation. Magnetic walls and an inbuilt sound system with microphones complement the possibilities for presentations on the plasma screens. Hearing loop facilities and access for wheelchair users is also available and with WiFi and hard-wired internet conducting a poll during your presentation is another possibility. If you need further space to house an exhibition or for catering then the Lime Tree Suite is ideal. The home of Surrey County Cricket Club and one of the oldest Test match venues in the world, Kia Oval in Kennington is one of London’s premier sporting venues. Holiday Inn Preston Completes Refurbishment Holiday Inn Preston

has completed its full refurbishment of bedrooms and public areas. The total refurbishment, which took just over eight months to complete, cost over £2 million pounds and has included a new restaurant, bar and lobby area as well as fully renovated bedrooms and corridors. A To Go Café with a Starbucks menu has already proved a popular addition with guests and conference delegates. The new design was inspired by Preston and

its rich heritage with links to textiles, The Guild Wheel and aerospace. Ashorne Hill Launches a War on Plastic Ashorne Hill

in Warwickshire is making a big commitment to reducing plastic usage across the business. From 1 September, the dedicated conference centre will be removing all plastic bottles of water and plastic cups from guest rooms and coffee areas. Glasses will be provided in rooms to drink tap water. The venue is encouraging all delegates to bring their own reusable water bottles and use the

on-site water dispensers to refill or use their reusable coffee cups made from sustainable bamboo. In the restaurant, delegates will notice all single portion plastic butters, which equates to around 18,700 pieces of single use plastic, have been removed, along with all single use cereal boxes and wrappers.
