How long have you worked at the Stanton Hotel?
I started working at Stanton House Hotel when we purchased the property in March 2020. The pandemic has made it very challenging however, it provided the perfect opportunity to get refurbishments underway.

The best advice that I’ve been given is to follow your dreams and if you work hard, it’ll pay off. Another piece of advice that I follow is to treat other people how I would like to be treated.

The best part of my job at the moment is seeing the refurbishments being completed and seeing the final result. I love hearing our guest’s reactions. It’s great to see that they’re really enjoying their stay here with us at the Stanton House Hotel.

What’s your favourite dish on the menu at the moment?
I’m really spoilt for choice, there are so many delicious options on our menu. However, if I had to pick one, I’d choose the Sea Bass. This dish is served with crushed new potatoes, chorizo, vegetables, and a white wine sauce.
There are two rooms that I just can’t choose between. Room 401 and room 2, each featuring beautiful four-poster beds and amazing views over the lake and gardens. As for guest areas, I’m especially proud of our meticulous grounds and our restaurant and conservatory.

In October 2021 we started a complete refurbishment costing over £2m. This has included all the bedrooms, the restaurant and the conservatory bar. It really is a stunning transformation.
Stanton House Hotel was purchased in 1990 and the old manor house was converted from a private dwelling into a hotel. There was a fire in 1932 which meant that the oldest part of the hotel had to be re-built.
