There’s a quote by Rupi Kaur that is always brought to mind when I thinknk of us South African women, and it reads:

“I stand on the sacrifices of a million women before me thinking what can i do to make this mountain taller so the women a昀琀er me can see farther”
This quote rang true for the 20 000 women who marched to Union Buildings on 9 August 1956 and it rings true today. The very founda琀椀ons of those women who would not se琀琀le for discrimina琀椀on allow us the ability to live where we want and how we want to.
As many of you know, Ingwe Property Group is led by a woman who is a result of many strong women before her. It is, in part, their teachings and their guidance that allows her to lead us well.
More importantly, being led by Noeleen Naidoo has made Ingwe a place where women can come in and build futures for themselves and their families. Real estate provides us the opportunity to earn an income, help people realise their dreams of homeownership, all whilst being empowered to build be琀琀er for ourselves.

This women’s month, I encourage you to reflect on the sacrifices of those that came before us and ask ourselves how we can build the road even be琀琀er for those to come.
So, here’s to strong women. May we know them, may we be them and may we raise them.
