“Mini Mi” Grandison is the son of Marcia and Roderick Grandison. He grew up at 19 Grafton road in Vineyard Town East Kingston. His love for music is a result of his upbringing. As a child he was always in tune with music and was also taught by his grandmother to be a keen listener. The lessons from his childhood mold him into a humble Individual for music.

Mini Mi attended Alpha Primary then moved on to Dunoon Technical High School which is also located in east Kingston. At school he would beat the desk and just about anything because music was everything and performing was fun.
Music became his entire being, it was in his head, hands, feet and backbone. That’s what took MiniMi form the class room to the center stages of Village Café, Week Endz, Wabi House and other venues throughout the streets of Jamaica.
