INLY SCHOOL

2024 Winter PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE PROGRAM Dear Inly Parents, I am excited to introduce the 2024 Winter Passport to Adventure offerings! After the school day ends, Inly students in grades K–8 can participate in our after-school enrichment program, Passport to Adventure. These programs give your child the opportunity to learn new skills, discover new interests, and expand their talents. Space is limited and those passports that have high enrollment are filled on a lottery system.

Instructions on how registration works: ● ● ● ●

The registration period will be from Friday, December 8, 2023–Sunday, December 10, 2023 (closing at 11:00 PM) **Please note, registering for a passport does not guarantee enrollment in that program.** Passport enrollment is limited. The average non-athletic passport offerings max out around 12 students, with athletic offerings maxing out at 24 students. At 11:00 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2023, Passports that have registrations above the maximum allotted space, will go to a lottery system. ALL students who are registered for the passport offering will be entered into the lottery and the maximum number of spaces will be drawn. Those students who were drawn will be officially enrolled in the passport.

PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR 1 PASSPORT EACH DAY ○

If your student is entered into a lottery and is not enrolled, you will have the ability to select another passport option after lotteries have been chosen.

Please note a Passport needs to have a minimum of five students to run. Being entered into a lottery means: ● ●

ALL students who selected the passport will be added to a random lottery generator. The maximum enrollment number (the number in the parentheses next to the passport name) will be randomly drawn one at a time until that maximum number has been drawn. Families of the students who were drawn will be notified. Families will have the opportunity to decline the enrollment, at which time another random name from the remaining students will be drawn. Those who were not drawn will be notified. If there is space available in a different passport running that same day, you will be given that as an option. You will also have the opportunity to elect to be in Inly Clubhouse (if space allows).

Other reminders about registration: ● ●

At registration, you will need to select if your child will be dismissed to a parent/caregiver at passport dismissal or if your child will go to PM Club. If you have already enrolled (and paid) for PM Club for the Winter season (extended day) you do not need to register for PM Club again. Please just select that your child will go to PM Club after passport dismissal. If you have NOT already enrolled in PM Club for the Winter season, please do also enroll in PM Club for the days you would like your child to be dismissed to PM Club after passports.

PROGRAM DETAILS Program Dates: Monday–Thursday Passport Dates: January 3–March 8, 2024 There are NO passports held on the following days: Monday, January 15, 2024 Monday, February 19, 2024 Thursday, February 29, 2024 Friday, March 1, 2024

Program offerings that have fees attached: ●

Piano Lessons - We are excited to announce that our partnership with South Shore Conservatory will resume beginning in January! We will offer lessons on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Lesson Space is extremely limited, but we do keep a running waitlist if any of our students' schedules change. Please email Kate (kvizen@inlyschool.org) to inquire about available lesson spots. Lessons are 30-minute, private lessons, once a week and are billed at $60 per lesson.

Taekwondo - We will continue our relationship with Xcel Taekwondo on Fridays! This has been a very popular and positive experience for students who have completed one or more seasons. Both new and returning Taekwondo students can register for the Friday Passport. The cost for this program is $395 for new students (including uniforms, classes, and testing) and $355 for returning students (including classes and testing). For students who have moved ahead and can learn Sparring, an additional $80 fee will be applied for Sparring equipment.

Inly Inter School Athletics - There will be a $35 per participant charge for all Inly Inter School Athletic teams (UE and MS Levels). This cost will offset the cost of new uniforms (that students will keep!) as well as transportation and officials for athletic events. If this fee keeps you from participating, please let Heather McLellan (hmclellan@inlyschool.org) know and she will work with you financially.

Friday Passports - All of our Friday Passport offerings are run by Vendor Partners. Inly pays a fee to these vendors for their services. These fees are a per-student price. Enrollment numbers are due two weeks before the start of a course and we are held to the numbers that we tell them at this time. Please consider this when signing your student up for Friday Passports. It is our hope and expectation that students registered will commit to the entire session.

All passports offered on Fridays have a fee associated with them based on the vendor fees charged to Inly. Students who withdraw, cancel, or no longer show up for passports after the second week, will be charged the full amount of the class. Friday Passport fees range from $75–$395. This fee is for the entire Winter season (includes all Fridays of the season).

A word about Dismissal and PM Club: Passport dismissal is promptly at 4:15–4:20 PM (or 4:30 PM MS Rock Band.) If you are unable to pick up your child for the end of their passport, please add on PM Club when you register. PM Club is Inly’s paid extended care service. Students who are not picked up by 4:20 PM will be signed into PM Club and the family Homeroom Account will be charged the drop-in rate ($20.00 per drop-in, per child) for PM Club. Thank you for your attention to this as we work to make sure we have proper supervision for all our students. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kate Vizen, Director of Auxiliary Programs at kvizen@inlyschool.org or 781-545-5544 ext 151. Kind Regards, Kate Vizen
