This includes sculpture, painting, drawing 2D and 3D. Art Club can be enjoyed by all, either as a time to have fun (as there is no right or wrong way to paint), or as a place to help your child work on her skills and portfolio if she does wish to apply for an Art Scholarship.

Surbiton Ultra Mathematical Society

Surbiton Ultra Mathematical Society (SUMS) Junior is our new club for Year 5 (Spring and Summer) and Year 6 (Autumn) mathematicians. It’s based on our Senior School SUMS, a club for those who enjoy solving mathematical puzzles. Every year, we send the best two Year 8 and Year 9 SUMS regulars to the UKMT Team Maths Challenge, where they get to compete against as many as thirty other schools. You don’t have to be the best in Maths in your class to join SUMS Junior, just enjoy solving puzzles and problems, and have a bit of persistence so you don’t give up when you can’t see a way to a solution straight away.

The club will be run on Thursdays in the Senior School, by our Senior School Maths Department, who are looking forward to seeing a group of enthusiastic young mathematicians, raring to get their teeth into some new problem-solving skills!
