NORMANHURST SCHOOL
Excellent Personal Development
Every year we participate in a number of interesting projects including: the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, writing competitions, art competitions, creative projects including music festivals, theatre trips, shows, productions and sports competitions.
Small Class Sizes
Our teaching groups are deliberately small. This means pupils have a more personalised experience with meaningful feedback, so that they can reach their individual potential and make the maximum progress possible.
Continuity and Progression
Most pupils move from Infants to Juniors and then on to Seniors to sit their GCSE exams.
This continuity makes for smooth transition from one stage of schooling to the next. We know our pupils extremely well, which allows us to maximise their progress and personalise their learning.
Partnership with Parents
Parents are encouraged to be involved in the life of the school. Some are in the Parents’ Association, others accompany school trips or help out at school events.
Parents are invited to school assemblies, plays, musical events and sports days. Most importantly excellent communication with parents is a priority.
