Teams

Koyote Founder: Andrew Petrovics andrew@koyote.io Koyote is an IoT (Internet of Things) company that makes sensors that can tell you how many people are in a given area at any time. Koyote’s first product is Pointz, an app giving businesses a fun, new way to reward customer loyalty while gamifying the customer’s experience of visiting brick-and-mortar spaces.

Delect Founders: Serge Amouzou serge@delect.co, Jeremy Feldman jeremy@delect.co Delect is based in Washington, D.C., so we’re thrilled to bring them down to Birmingham. Their product allows customers to pay for restaurant bills from their phones, and the Depot’s own Serendipity is the first to benefit. Their app will allow participating restaurants to market more directly to individual customers as well.

Healthfundit Founders: Larry Lawal larry@healthfundit.com, Felix Kishinevsky felix@healthfundit.com Healthfundit is a crowdfunding platform for discovering and contributing to medical research. Their access to top NIH projects gives them a competitive advantage to other crowdfunding sites.

Teams

Covalence Founder: Matt Landers, matt@covalence.io Covalence is an immersive software development bootcamp designed to help cities meet their unmet needs for computer science talent by training individuals with no prior experience to become junior level developers. They have significant traction within Birmingham and have expanded to Chattanooga.

Quantalytix Founders: Chris Aliotta chrisaliotta@quantalytix.com, William Bryant willbryant@quantalytix.com Quantalytix is a software platform providing comprehensive risk analytics and balance sheet management for financial institutions. Both founders, Chris and Will, are former Regions employees with combined 17+ years of experience.

Likely AI Founders: Jozef Marko marko@likelyai.com, Lukas Ruttkay ruttkay@likelyai.com Marketers and individuals make this decision every day: what image will get the most positive attention? What will attract the most customers or followers on social media? However, these judgments are always subjective and often unreliable. Likely AI solves this problem, predicting the success of images with a mathematical algorithm and machine learning.

Andrew Wingard was accepted into Velocity as the CEO of MetalView, a marketplace for buyers and suppliers of commodity metals. He passed away unexpectedly during the program, and he is dearly missed today. If you are interested in donating to his children’s college fund, please visit https://www.youcaring.com/wingard.
