We have two types of clients home builders & home owners. Home Builders: Design DCA is a small boutique firm, so you get a responsive team to work with oneon-one. Our principal, David Cox, has been in the home design and building industry for over 25 years. Much of his design work has been creating successful spec home projects in all architectural styles and varying price ranges. We know what buyers are looking for and how to put the “Wow� into your homes. Buyers have many choices and we want you to stand out among the crowd. Home Owners: Our first and most important task is to listen to you. We take your taste and lifestyle into account to create a design just for you because your home is too important for an off-the-shelf design. It should be your sanctuary and give you comfort every time you walk in the door. We want it to be a place where you are delighted to host family and friends for holidays and all the special moments of your life.

Site Analysis We’ll help make the most of your land whatever size it may be - to suite your indoor / outdoor needs. Conceptual Design Our creativity is combined with design software to present our vision to you via floor plans and an exterior 3D model to present your home from all sides in a realworld view. Construction Documentation The approved design is turned into the detailed documents that will be used for bidding, permitting and building your dream.

OUR WORK Custom Home Design
Design DCA strives to create cutting edge designs, but also respects past architectural and regional styles. We can design creative modern, or take inspiration from a classic design and put a modern twist on it to create a transitional design.
PRAIRIE MODERN Prairie-Style Home with Modern Detailing
The owners of this custom home near Highland Village wanted a modern version of a prairie style home. The exterior stone is brought inside on an accent wall that terminates inside of a glass conditioned wine room. The kitchen features high-end modern cabinetry by German manufacturer Poggenpohl.
Classic European design influenced this home on a corner lot in Houston’s desirable Afton Oaks neighborhood. Highly detailed, cozy living spaces all have views out to a side courtyard to create a great indoor / outdoor living experience. A balcony off of the master suite allows homeowners to enjoy views of the beautiful, mature oak trees.

This modern home project featured a rare opportunity for us in Houston – a lot with topography. We took advantage of this with a lower level garage partially dug into the property. Above sits two-stories of modern living space plus great outdoor spaces with a pool in the rear and a large roof terrace with great views of downtown Houston.
