Rivne | 5-7 Novebmer 2015
Trans.History is a project that includes cross-sectoral training opportunities for teachers and multipliers of formal and non-formal education in Ukraine dealing with the topic of Ukrainian history. Through the involvement of other partners from educational institutions and museums in Austria, Germany, Poland and the USA, the Ukrainian participants get the opportunity to enter into a lively exchange, which is important in the current times of crisis. Through cross-sectoral work with schools and NGOs, we aim to promote democratic structures within Ukraine and create positive synergies that contribute to the strengthening of civil society. At our seminar you will: - meet a Holocaust survivor who was hidden by her Ukrainian neighbors during the Second World War for 20 months, and watch her story - watch our films and work in small groups to write your own lesson plans that you can use in class - listen to great lectures on Ukrainian Jewish history - listen to American and German teachers tell you how they use Ukrainian stories in their classrooms - watch great videos made by students and learn about our competition for students Trans.History is operated by Centropa, MitOst e.V and Insha Osvita and supported by German Federal Office and International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. centropa.org | mitost.org | insha-osvita.org
