In order to apply and compete for a spot on the 2016 tours, the student must currently be a high school junior living in one of the eight counties served by Dixie. Broccoli Chicken Casserole Ingredients: 2 pkgs. frozen broccoli (pre-cooked) 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 stick butter (melted)
1 chicken boiled and deboned (pre-cooked) 1 can cream of celery soup 1 pint sour cream 1 bag Doritos (crushed) 1 lb. cheese (shredded)
Directions: Mix soups, sour cream, and mayonnaise until creamy. Mix Doritos and butter. Place in long pan by layering in the following order from bottom to top: broccoli, chicken, soup mixture, cheese and Doritos. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Due to a scheduling conflict, WSFA has rescheduled 12's Day of Giving to Fri., Dec. 11, 2015. We apologize for any confusion due to the schedule change and hope that you are able to join us that day at the Walmart on Atlanta Highway between the hours of 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. We will be collecting food, toys, and monetary donations to benefit the Christmas Clearinghouse, Montgomery Area Food Bank, and Toys for Tots. For your donation valued at $5 or more, we will give you your choice of one of our adorable Dixie stuffed animals. Be sure to update your calendars with the correct date to make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to help our neighbors and friends.

Exciting Scholarship News
Cooperative to award $25,000 in scholarships in 2016 Your cooperative understands the importance of education. We hope to help make attending college a little more affordable for 10 deserving students in 2016 by awarding $25,000 in scholarships. We have made a few changes to the program this year to make these scholarship funds more accessible to students in our area. As always, we will continue to accept applications from any graduating high school senior who is the dependent of a cooperative member-owner. The scholarship funds can be used at a fouryear or two-year college or university, as well as at a technical or trade school. The Electric Cooperative Foundation judges will select two winners from each of the three cooperative board districts. A map of these districts can be seen below. While some districts cover a larger area of our system in regards to miles of line, each district has an equitable number of memberowners, so all students have an equal chance of being selected as a recipient for their particular district. In addition to the two students from each district, the cooperative will award four scholarships at-large, which means these four students can reside in any of the three districts. We also guarantee that at least one of the scholarships awarded will be for a student attending a trade or technical school.
