Energy Saving Tips Clean or change furnace filters regularly. A dirty filter will slow down air flow and make the system work harder to keep you cool. Seal air leaks and properly insulate. Add caulk or weatherstripping to seal air leaks around leaky doors and windows. If you can see your floor joists in your attic, you probably need more attic insulation. Turn off all lights, appliances and electronics not in use. (Sometimes the simplest things are really effective!) — Source: Energy.gov
