Rate Increase Due to Rising Power Supply Costs
As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, we are committed to providing you with value for the dollars you spend. That is why we work diligently to keep our costs economical.
Did you know that only 1/3 of your monthly power bill is related to costs for services directly provided by your cooperative? The remaining 2/3 of your monthly bill goes towards our power supply costs, which includes construction and maintenance of power plants, the transmission system to supply power to our substations, and the fuels needed to run the power plants.
We were recently made aware that our power supplier is implementing a power cost increase in 2025 that will affect our members.
As a result of this increase, beginning with bills dated after January 1, 2025, our residential members will see an increase of $3 per 1,000 kWh and our commercial and non-residential members will have an increase of $6 per 1,000 kWh.
