Does your house need HELP? • Are your energy bills high due to heating and air conditioning? • Is your home drafty in winter? If your answer is yes to any of these, Woodruff Electric may have a solution.

Introducing HELP, the Home Energy Lending Program Woodruff Electric is offering a program to our cooperative members to HELP improve their homes in order to lower their utility bills and improve comfort. The types of improvements to the home will be those that offer an economic return for the cost of the improvement. Improvements will concentrate on air sealing the structure, sealing ductwork, adding insulation, tuning up heating and air conditioning units, and installing energy efficient lighting. When an applicant applies for the program, Woodruff Electric will evaluate the potential for improvements based on past electric bills. If approved, a specially trained team will run a test on the house to analyze the air leakage, insulation levels, and other factors. They will then come up with recommendations and a detailed plan to make the necessary improvements. There is no obligation and no cost for this service. If the applicant chooses to go forward in the program, the specially trained team will perform the work and the applicant may finance the work with a low interest loan (2.99%) from Woodruff Electric. The amount of the monthly payment will not exceed the monthly savings in energy bills. The loan payment will be added as a line item to the Woodruff Electric bill. The homeowner will immediately benefit from a more comfortable home and savings on the energy bill. If you would like to be considered for HELP, complete the form below and return to Woodruff Electric.

Energy efficiency tip of the month Avoid setting your thermostat at a colder setting than normal when you turn on your air conditioner. It will not cool your home any faster and could result in excessive cooling and unnecessary expense. Source: energy.gov
