THE MESSENGER A Publication for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative Members
Auto bank draft offers convenience NAEC’s automatic bank draft payment method ensures your bill always is paid on time. It is an electronic transfer from your bank account to NAEC’s each month. Members who participate still receive an itemized statement of their bill. On or about the 10th of each month, the bill amount is deducted from their checking or savings account. This continues until a member requests it stops. To enroll in automatic bank draft, please visit a co-op office. You also can call 870-895-3221 for more information.
Dial 811 for utilities to be marked Outdoor projects often require digging. Before shoveling begins, be sure to call 811 so that buried utilities may be marked for free. The operator will need the location of where you want to dig. Within a few days, a technician will mark any nearby electric, water and other utility lines with spray paint or flags. Using this free service could prevent serious injury or save a life.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY TIP OF THE MONTH Turn off kitchen, bath and other exhaust fans within 20 minutes after you’re done cooking or bathing. When replacing exhaust fans, consider installing high-efficiency, low-noise models. — energystar.gov
