Does your house need HELP? • Are your energy bills high due to heating and air conditioning? • Is your home drafty in winter? If your answer is yes to any of these, Woodruff Electric may have a solution.

Introducing HELP, the Home Energy Lending Program Woodruff Electric is offering a program to our cooperative members to HELP improve their homes in order to lower their utility bills and improve comfort. The types of improvements to the home will be those that offer an economic return for the cost of the improvement. Improvements will concentrate on air sealing the structure, sealing ductwork, adding insulation, tuning up heating and air conditioning units, and installing energy efficient lighting. When an applicant applies for the program, Woodruff Electric will evaluate the potential for improvements based on past electric bills. If approved, a specially trained team will run a test on the house to analyze the air leakage, insulation levels, and other factors. They will then come up with recommendations and a detailed plan to make the necessary improvements. There is no obligation and no cost for this service. If the applicant chooses to go forward in the program, the specially trained team will perform the work and the applicant may finance the work with a low interest loan (3.99%) from Woodruff Electric. The amount of the monthly payment will not exceed the monthly savings in energy bills. The loan payment will be added as a line item to the Woodruff Electric bill. The homeowner will immediately benefit from a more comfortable home and savings on the energy bill. If you would like to be considered for HELP, complete the form below and return to Woodruff Electric.

A trip of a lifetime THE 2017 YOUTH TOUR TO WASHINGTON An all-expense-paid tour of the nation’s capital awaits 44 high school juniors from Arkansas this summer. If you apply for the 2017 Youth Tour to Washington, you might be chosen for the week-long trip to Washington. The trip, which is sponsored by the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, includes tours of major sites in Washington, such as the U.S. Capitol; the museums of the Smithsonian Institution; the Newseum; and the Jefferson, Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Vietnam, Korean and World War II memorials. This spring, Woodruff Electric Cooperative will select two high school juniors to attend the 2017 tour, which is set for June 9-15. The winners will be selected by an essay contest. Applicants must be high school juniors attending one of the 18 high schools in Woodruff Electric’s area of service. The Arkansas group will travel to Washington and return to Little Rock by air. Once in Washington, the students will join about 1,700 students from across the nation who are attending the tour. Why do we do this? The answer is simple. Woodruff Electric Cooperative is committed to its members and to the communities it serves. Through the Youth Tour, we are helping Arkansas’ youth learn more about the workings of their nation’s government and the electric cooperatives, as well as develop leadership skills. For more information, contact Woodruff Electric at 870-633-2262 or visit woodruffelectric.com for complete contest rules. The deadline for entries is March 20, 2017. To learn more about the Youth Tour, visit: www.ecark.org and www.youthtour.coop

Don’t miss out on this incredible, life-changing opportunity.

It’s a trip of a lifetime!
