The Carmichael Chamber of Commerce recently hailed exemplary citizens at a Community Awards Gala hosted by Northridge Country Club. Honorees were retired Assemblymember Ken Cooley as Person of the Year; Ernesto Delgado, Mesa Mercado restaurant, as Businessman of the Year; Bonnie Prophet, Serritella’s restaurant, as Businesswoman of the Year; Holly Olson, El Rancho School, as Educator of the Year; Linda Martin as Community Advocate of the Year; and Betty Bowles as Chamber Ambassador of the Year.
