NAIROBI | Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserves

Drive from Nairobi to north via Nanyuki and Mount Kenya to Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive for check in at the camp and lunch. Afternoon game drive follows. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve is home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Overall, the reserve is dry with rocky soil and sparse vegetation hence the safaris are interesting all year round. Return for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2 Samburu Game Reserves

Full day at the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Apart from the Unique Five species, the reserve park is also renowned for its big cats as the nearby Ewaso Nyiro River attracts many leopards. The river banks of the Ewaso Nyiro remain evergreen becoming a focal point for numerous game in the dry season. All meals and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3 Samburu Game Reserves – Mt Kenya

After breakfast, drive to the Mt Kenya area. Check-in at lodge. Afternoon enjoy a visit to a coffee farm and a local market. Dinner and overnight stay. Day 4 Mt Kenya – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Nakuru National Park. Stop to observe Equator crossing en-route as well as the Thompson falls. Check in for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park and around the alkaline lake. It’s a delight for bird lovers as the park has over 450 different species, moreover here you have the best chance to see a rhino. Diner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5 Lake Nakuru National Park – Nairobi.

Enjoy an early morning game drive. After breakfast, check-out and leisurely drive back to Nairobi.
