Day 1 Seoul Meet your guide at Incheon airport and take a private transfer to Holiday Inn Express Hongdae where you will stay for the next three nights. Enjoy a traditional welcome Korean dinner and performance to meet your fellow travellers. Stay the next two nights at Holiday Inn Express Hongdae (or similar). (D)

Day 2 Seoul Today you will visit the main sights of Seoul starting with the Gyeongbok Palace, the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty. After lunch visit the 600 year old Bukchon Hanok Village before ending the day with views over Seoul from the 236 metre tall N Seoul Tower. (B, L)

Day 3 Seoul Take a day tour to the DMZ that divides North and South Korea and visit Imjingak Park, Freedom Village, the DMZ Theatre, North Korea’s Infiltration Tunnel and the Dora Oberservation Post. Return to Seoul in the afternoon to visit the poignant but extensive War Memorial Of Korea before returning to your hotel for a free evening. (B)

Day 4 Seoul to Jeonju Depart Seoul this morning and travel to Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site based in Suwon, before having lunch. On the way to Jeonju, stop at the architecturally dramatic Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan. Enjoy a free evening in Jeonju on arrival. Stay the next two nights at Lahan Hotel Jeonju (or similar). (B, L)

Day 5 Jeonju This morning spend time at the peaceful Gyeonggijeon Shrine before having the opportunity to learn how to create one of the most famous culinary dishes of Korea, Bibimbap. The rest of the afternoon is spent enjoying the scenic Jeonju Hanok Village. (B, L)

Day 6 Jeonju to Tongyeong Today you will journey to Gurye experiencing and learning about temple life in South Korea. This will include a temple tour, a Yebul or Ceremonial Service, tea time with a monk and temple food for lunch. Continue on to Tongyeong where you will visit the artistic Dongpirang Mural Village and the bustling Tongyeong Central Market. Overnight at Stanford Hotel & Resort Tongyeoung (or similar). (B, L, D

Day 7 Tongyeong to Busan Start you day with a transfer to Geoje-do to visit the historic POW camp that held over 170,000 prisoners during the Korean War. Stop by for a photo at the windmill on Windy Hill before transfering to South Korea’s second biggest city, Busan and it’s famous Haeundae Beach. Overnight at IBIS Ambassador Busan Haeundae (or similar). (B, L)

Day 8 Busan to Gyeongju Spend this morning visiting the main attractions of Busan including the UN Memorial Cemetary, Busan Tower at Yongdusan Park and the Jagalchi Fish Market. Visit the spectacular seaside temple of Haedong Yonggungsa before travelling to Gyeongju. Stay the next two nights at Gyeongju Commodore Hotel (or similar). (B, D)

Day 9 Gyeongju Enjoy a full day exploring Gyeongju, the old capital city of the Shilla Kingdom, including the UNESCO World Heritage Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto. After an included lunch visit the Gyeongju National Museum to see the treasures of the Shilla Kingdom and the tomb mounds of Tumuli Park. End the day with an evening visit to Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. (B, L)

Day 10 Gyeongju to Seoul Transfer back to Seoul today in comfort about the KTX Korean Bullet Train. Once back in Seoul the afternoon where you could maybe do some last minute shopping in one of Seoul’s famous districts. End your tour with a farewell Korean BBQ to say goodbye to your new friends. Overnight at Holiday Inn Express Hongdae (or similar) (B, D)
