Day 1 Luang Prabang to Nong Kiau
On arrival in Luang Prabang be transferred to Nong Kiau. En route join the villagers for a workshop, where they will share their art of cotton weaving that has been passed from generation to generation for almost 300 years. Stay the next two nights at Nong Kiau Riverside.
Day 2 Nong Kiau
This morning, cruise along the Nam Ou River, stopping by the sleepy little village of Muang Ngoi where you will embark on an easy walk to Tham Kang Cave, a former shelter used by local villagers during the Indochina war. Along the way, pass the morning market to prepare for a Lao picnic lunch on the shoal of the river with local delicacies such as fish BBQ, sticky rice and “jaew”. (BL)
Day 3 Nong Kiau to Luang Prabang

Embark on a two hour drive from Luang Prabang to Nam Tien Lake. From here, cruise by boat to the Elephant Centre. After lunch, venture to the hospital where the veterinarian and biologist will take you into their world and explain about the projects they are undertaking. Throughout the visit of the only Elephant Hospital in Laos, you will discover the methods implemented by The Elephant Conservation Centre. You will then observe the elephant’s daily bath and learn more about their playful behaviour. Overnight at Elephant Conservation Center. (LD)
After spending the night grazing in the jungle it is time for another bath. Enjoy strolling together with these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Day 1 Luang Prabang to Pakbeng
Prepare for an exciting road trip as you depart from Luang Prabang, taking long and winding roads through scenic mountain views to the sparsely populated Northern provinces of Laos. Enjoy a free afternoon or perhaps you wish to cross the Mekong to meet the elephants in their sanctuary at the Mekong Elephant Park. Overnight at Sanctuary Pakbeng.
Day 2 Pakbeng to Luang Prabang.
Cruise along the Mekong to Luang Prabang. A lunch with Lao delicacies will be served on board and the cruise will stop by the sacred pilgrimage of Tam Ting Cave (cave of a thousand Buddhas) and the village of Ban Xang Hai, famous for distilling rice whiskeys.
