10th Edition of Foodex Saudi Expo 2023

Fourteen Pakistani companies participated in 2022 edition of Foodex Saudi Exhibition.

Foodex Saudi is Saudi Arabia’s Leading International Trade exhibition 100% dedicated to the food and drink industry. Local companies and factories occupied a significant position in the exhibition booths, along with the most prominent countries in the world that participated in the best innovations in fresh, chilled and frozen food, dairy products, food services, cans, meat, poultry, snacks and candy.

Fourteen Pakistani companies

participated in Foodex Saudi exhibition organized by Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions from November 17th to 20th, 2022 at Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events. The participation of Pakistan companies in Saudi Arabia strenghten the economic ties betweet Saudia Arabia and Pakistan.

Pakistan Consul General, Aftab Ahmed Khoker said, “Our participation empowered the exporters and boosted relationship between the two countries. There is a big potential in the Saudi market, a number of Pakistan companies are already in the market and doing great business with Saudi partners. Howeverthe Consulate and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan TDAP are helping and facilitating more companies and businessmen to enter the Gulf markets, with a view to helping in building bridges between the markets of the two countries. We still have a long way to go but this is just a start.”

He added, “The participation in Foodex Saudi is expected to further promote Pakistan’s various brands in Saudi Arabian market and offer business growth opportunities to Pakistani food and foodstuffs exporting companies. Saudi Arabia is rapidly growing in population and consequently increasing consumption of food and beverages, currently imports more than 80% of its total food and beverage requirements.”

He further expressed that nine companies were sponsored by TDAP and five companies were sponsored by USAID’s Agribusiness Support Fund. The participating companies/exhibitors are among the top exporters from Paksitan dealing in fresh and processed food products comprising meat, fish, fruits, vegetables and spices. The Saudi food and beverages imports is growing annually at 18.5% are likely to reach around $70 billion per annum in the next four years.
