DalterFood Group presents production and packaging solutions

DalterFood Group with its full expertise in production and packaging of hard and semi-hard cheeses

DalterFood Group will be exhibiting at SIAL 2022 ( Hall 7, stand C268) , the most important international trade show on food and food processing. The company plans to display its full expertise as a producer and packager of hard and semi-hard cheeses for industry, food service and retail channels as well as a comprehensive range of raw materials, cuts and packs that meet the varying demands of customers. Its strength lies in its consultant approach. It looks into specific needs and comes up with tailor-made solutions. So for DalterFood Group, SIAL will be a great opportunity to demonstrate the high level of customisation of its offering.

The Group will be presenting its flagship products, including Parmigiano Reggiano, Grana Padano, Pecorino Romano, Pecorino Sardo, Provolone and Spinoro cheeses. But there will also be other products awaiting visitors. The range, in fact, also boasts eight grated cheese blends, each with its own unique taste, condiment properties and performance, as well as a large variety of cheese cuts, including cubes, flakes, sticks, shavings, confetti and others, all customisable. The company, which is always on the lookout for the latest food trends and changing consumer patterns, also offers vegetarian cheeses, like its Spinoro and Pastamore.

A major achievement for the company has been the control over the Parmigiano Reggiano DOP supply chain: 180 wheels are produced each day at its mountain cheese factories located in Cigarello and Canossa, right in the heart of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, and left to mature for 12, 24, 30, 36 and 40 months. In addition to conventional Parmigiano Reggiano, DalterFood Group also offers various other types.

One is the Organic Mountain Product (Prodotto di Montagna), which uses 100% milk from mountain cows on a 60% mountain fodder diet, is produced in a mountain cheese factory, and is left to mature for 12 months. And in 2020, the company added its Parmigiano Reggiano “only from Italian Pezzata Rossa Cows” (Solo di Pezzata Rossa Italiana), a market exclusive with Organic and Mountain Product certification made with the milk of a single breed of cattle, the Italian Pezzata Rossa, bred by only one farm, the Azienda Agricola Le Boccede.

Sustainability is one of the cornerstones of the company, which recently published its first Sustainability Report. The document describes the company’s huge commitment in this sphere, which embraces every area of governance. “We are proud to come to SIAL 2022 with the results of the remarkable work we did, shared by every rank of the company,” said Andrea Guidi, General Manager of DalterFood Group. “This is a commitment to keep working hard to make wholesome products for our customers and applying ourselves for the collectivity, conscious of the fact that quality and every facet of sustainability go together.”
