URE TRENDS W

hile the world advances more rapidly, humans have focused on one particular thing i.e., commitment to nature. With sustainable development and sustainable architecture, society, in general, is now moving towards environmental engagement and construction trends as a collective manifestation. Yet, there are more developments in design that we're going to tell you below.

OPEN SPACES Open spaces allow you to turn any room in accordance with your wishes. To make the architecture more versatile and adaptable, walls and partitions are eliminated. Where the incorporation of the kitchen and living room is the rule, it has now been extended to include the terrace and, in some cases, the bedroom.

In addition to Open Spaces, the desire to incorporate different areas of the home and build multi-purpose spaces is becoming more evident. This approach would allow appreciating more meters, what you get from partitioned walls and very functional spaces for the entire family.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SPACES

This trend will comprise methods of using building materials that serve as a bridge between the rooms and decorate the entire room in a consistent manner to access adequate space and light.

SMART HOMES AND HOME AUTOMATION Smart Housing has opened the door to new possibilities for both customers and emerging industries. Home Automation provides security, comfort, convenience, and energy efďŹ ciency by allowing better control and empowerment of smart devices often run by smart home users on their smartphones or single-handed network devices. 26 | February 2020

RELAXING BATHROOMS The bathroom is no longer just an area devoted to personal care. Now, it has transformed into a place to know for relaxation after a hard day of work. Where to isolate from the outside so that we can reconnect with ourselves during a shower that will relieve our stress, all thanks go to this contemporary trend.

MINIMALISM Minimalism is about designers presenting only the most important and required elements of a product or topic by removing all redundant and, therefore, needless components and functions. This trend will be followed for Simplicity in design to serve an overall purpose; Clean lines and compositions; Bright and natural lighting; Lighter and more neutral colors; Natural ooring; and many more.

PASSIVE HOUSES

Which began as a phenomenon in architecture; a passive home has become a philosophy of life and a way of seeing how connections with the world will evolve. The architectural design of these homes has the primary objective of optimizing energy savings through the use of available resources. Passive homes, therefore, not only support their owners, but they also lead to improving the health and quality of life of those who live in them. -Anmol Preet Singh

O

ur country being one of the most ancient civilizations on the planet, is a gold mine for researching the architectural evolution of history and that too with the most sophisticated cultural backgrounds populated by multiple races, religions, and languages.

Also, any transformation or new culture incorporation has always had an inuence on Indian art and architecture. The numerous architectural styles that present in the buildings throughout the country are easily visible. Through this, one can see a remarkable creation of a wide range of cultures that helps us to understand how a particular society has evolved. Let's see some examples.

Taj Mahal Known for love, the Taj Mahal is arguably one of the most remarkable architectural buildings not only in India but worldwide. It was established in 1653 on behalf of its beloved King Mumtaj Mahal, by Mughal ruler Shahjahan. Since then, it has been the face of Indian architecture for people all over the world. The white marble palace-considered as one of the most excellent examples of the Mughal architecture-consists of a square plinth with a central structure enclosed by a wide dome and four minarets. No wonder it is known as one of the world's seven wonders of the world. Every year, for its beauty, it attracts nearly three million tourists, thereby drawing visitors worldwide.

Lotus Temple It is one of the modern buildings that manage to attract visitors from around the world for its status and popularity. Conceived as a Lotus, it is a Bahá í House of Worship accessible to all faiths, symbolizing the laicism and tolerance of the nation. The structure was modeled by the Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba and contains 27 petals aligned with groupings of three, forming a circular perimeter coaligned with Bahá í religious beliefs.

Qutub Minar The Qutub Minar is a tower of 73 meters built-in 1193 by Qutb-uddin Aibak. This tower is India's tallest tower with ve oors and balconies. The Qutub Minar's rst three oors consist of red sandstone, and the last two of them are of sandstone and marble. Qitb-ud-din Aibak began building the Qutub Minar, but he only completed the basements. The tower was later developed by Iltutmish, his son, who added another three oors. The monument demonstrates the various architecture designs distinctly from the days of Aibak to Tuglak. 40 | February 2020

Sun Temple Located on Bavaria's coastline, it is known to be one of Dravidian Architecture's best examples. It is also referred to as the Black Pagoda and is known as one of India's most signicant temples. Built-in the 13th century, it consists of a gigantic chariot of seven horses with dozen complicated wheels. It is a genuine marvel that shows the advanced craftsmanship and passion for art in that era.

Sanchi Stupa Built-in the 3rd century B.C., It is a famous shrine from ancient India and an excellent example of Buddhist art and architecture. A stupa usually is a hemispheric dome with Lord Buddha relics. The Lord Buddha was symbolically portrayed in this particular stupa by sprints, thrones, wheels, etc. and they were all exquisitely decorative.

Hawa Mahal Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Kachhwaha Rajput ruler Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. When the Maharaja saw the construction of Khetri Mahal in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, he was so impressed that he had decided to build a palace based on it. Hawa Mahal, also called the Breeze Palace, was the product of this inspiration. Crafted in red and pink sandstone, this one-of-a-kind palace has a pyramidal form. It has ve oors and rises to a height of 50 meters. The 953 windows on the front of the palace give it a honeycombed look. Owing to the excellent latticework on these windows, the palace has a calming effect as the air ows through them. Delicately designed hanging cornices are another attractive aspect of the architecture of Hawa Mahal.

Victoria Memorial When Queen Victoria died in 1901, Lord Curzon, then the Viceroy of India, proposed a grand memorial to her. In January 1906, the Prince of Wales created the Victoria Museum, which was funded by the Indian rulers, the British Government, and partially by Curzon himself. Sir William Emerson designed the monument and Martin & Co. constructed it with white Rajasthan Markana marble. The remarkable memorial sits in 64 acres of lawns and gardens and was opened to the public in December 1921. The monument houses a well-maintained museum showing an impressive collection of memorabilia and paintings linked to Queen Victoria, Indian Freedom Fighters, and other facets of Indian and British culture.

Golden Temple Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, is one of India's most sacred sites, the most holiest shrines in the Sikhism and is alive by worship and sanctity. In 1830, it was restored entirely with marble and gold by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It is the sight of the magniď€ cent shrine in the middle of the Amrit Sarowar , offering endless tranquility. Golden Temple serves as an emblem of brotherhood and equality; people all over the world visited it for divine comfort and religious fulď€ llment.
