Situated on the northern bank of the Mekong River facing Thailand, Vientiane is a quaint and easygoing town compared to other frenetic capitals in the region , Vientiane is Southeast Asia’s most laid-back capital. This city boasts outstanding French colonial architecture and low level buildings that are spread out in the city, enhancing a cultural and relaxed atmosphere. Life in this pleasant capital is slow-paced and there is always a light flow of traffics, even during rush hour! We explore this little, peaceful nation at a leisurely pace visiting some of the finest and most important historical sites in Laos. Upon arrival, when you leaving the airport terminal please look for a tour guide displaying a welcome signboard with your name and a private transfer to your hotel for check – in . the rest of your day is free at leisure until transfer for having dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Vientiane . The regular check-in time for all hotels is 2.00pm. Early check-in is subject to availability. Day2 : Vientiane Golfing Tour After Breakfast this morning , tee-off for your 1st round of golf game at Long Vieng Golf Club in KN Vientiane Group that meet international standards , the most beautiful one in Laos in the time being by guest at home and abroad , is one of the beautiful golf courses in Southeast Asia . located in LongThanh – Vientiane Special Economic Zone , Dong Phosy village . Hatxaiphong district , far from Vientiane city center about 16Km on the way to Friendship Bridge . Long Vieng Golf Club currently has 18 holes since November 3, 2012. The Golf Course was created to neatly integrate with the terrain and natural vista. 18 international-standard fairways are 72-par long 7,538 yards. The roughs and fairway grasses are kept fertile and healthy. The old trees are perfect for just enough shade and there are a wide range of beautiful flowers in the fairways. The lighting system for the 18 fairways meets the international standards. The water spraying system is controlled by computer, ensuring that the grasses are in its’ best conditions for a game of golf all year round . Lunch on your own account at Golf Restaurant . after golf , transfer back to your hotel for free at leisure until dinner time at local restaurant . The Sea Games Golf Club is equipped with a unique 27 -hole special golf lay for golfers to dive into this lovely course. This course has proudly held the twenty-fifth Southeast Asian Games. Being situated approximately 10 miles northeast of the city, the course is an unbeatable escape from the hustle and bustle of the city lifestyle. The area is perfect for a getaway as it is surrounded by Laos’s woodlands’ pastoral flora and fauna. In this golf course, you will find some holes being surrounded by water bodies; commonly seen in championship layouts and the golf course. However, these are not the hazardous pool of water that golfers typically see. They are wide and compliment the stunning landscape. Lunch on your own account at Sea Games Golf Restaurant . After golf, transfer back to Vientiane city for a half day tour and Visit the serene Wat Sisaket, the only temple left intact after the Siamese (Thai) invasion in 1828. It is one of the most beautiful temples in the capital, and its breezy teak covered hallways are filled with thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Continue on to the nearby Wat Phra Keo. Used as a religious museum, Wat Phra Keo displays a collection of both Lao and Khmer works of art. Also nearby, is the Presidential Palace. Although you are not allowed to visit inside, it is a good glimpse in to the town’s colonial past as this building formerly served as the French governor’s palace. Stop at Wat Simuang, the most popular and venerated temple in Vientiane, as it is considered the guardian of the spirit of the city. Upon its grounds, you will find an Angkorian-era pillar and it is a popular belief that if you circle it three times and make a wish, then that wish will come true. Nestled near the original morning market is That Dam. invasion in 1828. From here, travel on to nearby Pangkham Street, with its plethora of tailor shops, and Nam Phou Fountain. Here you can see how traditional areas of the city are embracing modernity. Continue to visit the Patuxay monument, Laosâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; version of the Arc de Triomphe, where you can climb the stairs to the roof for sweeping panoramic views of the city. Next, your tour takes you to That Luang, the holiest site in Laos. Constructed by King Setthethirat in the 16th century, the temple is resplendent as the sun shines upon its towering golden spire. End your tour of the capital along the banks of the Mekong River as the sun begins to set. Stroll along the river, before returning to the hotel for refreshing until dinner time at local restaurant .
