JAIME BOUZAGLO Born in Alcazar, the Spanish part of Morocco and growing up in Barcelona, Spain, he demonstrated a clear talent in design. In 1973, at the age of 14, Bouzaglo began working at his oncle´s architectural firm and was inspired by projects created by the famous Catalano architect; Antoni Gaudi (Saint Famille Cathedral – circa 1884). In parallel, he begins studying under the renown French architect; Jean-François Zevaco and developed a rigorous approach to design that reflects a deep sensitivity demonstrated through his work today. Before settling in Quebec in 1982, he carries out several projects in various countries (conceptual design of a palace for a prince in Saudi Arabia / a boutique in the airport terminal – Casablanca Airport), and is drawn towards commercial installations and interior design, while teaching design. In 1988, he founded CREAR, a company specialized in design and services clients around the world. A few years and some projects later, Nino Cerruti entrusts him to create a boutique in Europe. From there, everything accelerates. He became the exclusive boutique designer for the Paris based Cerruti 1881 and began traveling the world to create 17 boutiques; Kobe, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Dusseldorf, Paris, Portugal, London, Peking, Madrid, Singapore and Toronto. He also created boutique designs for NINO CERRUTI of Tokyo, Hiroshima, New York and the GIORGIO EMPORIO boutique in Toronto.
I believe that the design was made with my eyes closed, lead by the hand of a fairy godmother. The EMMA is modern, young, fluent, sensual, photogenic and attractive. It can be adapted to every single environment, for home and contract use, we can see it in a cruiser or in a hotel. It loves to be surrounded by its family, chair, armchair & lounge chair. EMMA is comfortable, with pure lines, difficult to imitate, ergonomic and adaptable. It is unique, made with passion and what EMMA desires is that all our most beautiful dreams come true. Its wooden frame offers the possibility of being lacquered in black, white or finished in wenguĂŠ or cherry wood, also, available in upholstered back or structural, enhancing its distinct beauty.
