OUR SCHOOL St. George’s International School is an independent international Day and Boarding School community, of 370 boys and girls aged between 18 months and 18 years. The school was opened in 1927 to create a centre of excellence which provides for, and cares for, everyone within its community. Our motto “Levavi Oculos” encourages our pupils to lift their eyes, to be ambitious and to raise themselves and others.

INTERNATIONAL GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (IGCSE) The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is a high-profile qualification provided by the University of Cambridge International Examinations Board(CIE). An IGCSE is designed to be taught as a 2 year course. Exams are taken by students in Year 11 (US Grade 10) and are equivalent in standard to the UK GCSE and Cambridge International GCE O Level examinations. Students take an average of 8-10 IGCSE subjects.

GENERAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME St. George’s International School also provides a General Diploma Programme for students not wishing to take the International Baccalaureate. 3. Minimum of 26 credits attained in academic work. The 26 credits must include: English 4, Mathematics 3, Science 2, Foreign language 2, Social Science 2, ICT 2. 4. Physical education is required for each year of attendance, though no credits are awarded. 5. Minimum score of 6/9 in IELTS or Cambridge Advanced Certificate of English. As part of the school graduation requirements all students complete the IB CAS programme as part of the full IB DP or as a certificated course. By completeing this programme students have shown an 18 month commitment to personal development and Service learning.
