Loughborough University volunteering opportunities Want to be part of the London 2012 Games locally? Then a volunteering role at Loughborough University to support the Japanese and Team GB athletes could be the answer. The University anticipates that 1000+ volunteers will be required covering a range of roles and responsibilities to help manage the Japanese and Team GB preparation camps that will be held on campus during the run up to the 2012 Games. Volunteers will also be required to help ‘kit out’ all Team GB athletes and their support staff who will visit Loughborough ahead of the start of the Games.

The volunteering programme will also provide personal development opportunities, create new social and community networks and a highly skilled volunteer workforce able to support sport and other local initiatives in the run up to the Games, and following their completion. If you would like to be involved with the Loughborough University volunteering project please contact the College’s Sport Volunteer Co-ordinator, Matt Woolass for more details and an application form.
