Artwork by Carmel Cox
LAZY DOG ART
Lazy Dog Art Studio located at Long Beach, showcases Carmel Cox’s unique creations. A jack of all trades, Carmel is a painter, mural artist, sculptor and photographer. Although her preferred medium was originally oils, she has since branched out into mixed media, acrylics and inks. Her paintings have a surreal quality to them and this works well with the unusual subject matter that she explores. Her limited palette of indigo and blues for night skies adds intrigue to her art. These days, her focus is on all things steam punk by altering books, bottles and sculptures. Completing a Certificate IV of Fine Arts, Trompe L’Oeil and Air Brushing, Carmel has been commissioned to paint several large murals for both businesses and private homes, in addition to running workshops through a range of local councils. To explore her diverse range of artworks, visit her website.
