RENOVATIONS

The Block

Arguably Australia’s most popular renovation show, Nine’s The Block will return to our screens in 2021 for a mammoth 17th season. The hit renovation show will see the new contestants take on the renovation of five properties in Melbourne’s Bronte Court in Hampton, a picturesque suburban cul-de-sac. Tune in and join hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft with judges Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer for another bumper season airing later this year.

House Rules

After eight successful seasons watching couples renovate each other’s homes for an ultimate prize of $100,000, sadly Seven’s House Rules is not returning to our television screens in 2021. While there’s talk the popular renovation show will return, in the meantime you can get your renovation fix and be inspired by great decorating ideas by streaming their past seasons for free on 7plus.

Selling Houses Australia

Foxtel’s Selling Houses Australia will return to our screens for season 14 this year. The search is on for a new resident landscaper as Charlie Albone will be departing the show this year, but property expert, Andrew Winter and interior designer, Shaynna Blaze remain and will no doubt bring us some of the most impressive home makeovers from all corners of Australia. Mark the 25 March on your calendar to witness some incredible transformations and see how the team gets top dollar for these once ‘unsellable’ properties.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Amazing Interiors

“Don’t judge a book by its cover” is the spirit of Netflix’s Amazing Interiors. This American show takes viewers to the most fascinating, eccentric and unique interiors across the USA, from backyard rollercoasters and indoor aquariums, to a human-sized dollhouse and a home turned circus. You will be both shocked and amazed.

Grand Designs: Australia

Grand Designs: Australia is true to its name, showcasing some of the most spectacular and exciting property designs across the country. Inspired by the British series, the Australian installation is hosted by prominent architect Peter Maddison who meets home owners (and their designers and architects) as they build the property of their dreams, all while trying to balance big ambition and budget. Available to watch on ABC’s iView and Foxtel.

Open Homes Australia

Watch Nine’s Open Homes Australia and travel around the nation for the greatest and most innovative architectural and real estate design trends Australian has to offer. From multi-million dollar beach homes to heritage farm houses in rural settings, you’ll be surprised, inspired and left wanting more.

House Hunters

Join people on their fascinating journey to find their dream home with Nine’s House Hunters. Each episode follows individuals, couples and families alongside their agents as they search the real estate market and how they make the important decision to buy a new home. There’s a very good reason why this American TV show is so popular, now with over 170 seasons under its belt, so be sure to tune in.

A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING

The Living Room

While Network 10’s The Living Room is not your typical property show, it does delve into a range of lifestyle topics including property tips and renovations. Australian designer and building expert, Barry Du Bois, has been the show’s property presenter since 2012 and covers topics from room transformations and interior trends, to water saving tips and to how to pick the right outdoor paint. Love it or List It

Love It or List It is one of Foxtel’s most popular and entertaining property shows covering all things renovations, interior design and real estate.
