Welcome to the inaugural issue of INSPIRED: Top 100 Style Bloggers. Before you go any further, I should warn you, this is not your average list of overexposed bloggers. This publication is about bringing together a group of like-minded individuals whose unique sense of style and commitment to design inspire even the most jaded fashion editor (yes, me). That, I believe, deserves a little recognition. Since hitting the scene almost a decade a go, the style blogger was a fashion trend editors said would never last. Yet, here we are... In a world where we can name a dozen bloggers but are pushed to name one fashion editor— excluding Anna of course. The fact is, the style blogger is not going anywhere and for good reason. They have turned the aspirational into the attainable.
Where once, six foot models (of mostly one ethnicity and size) dictated this season’s musthaves now, men and women of all shapes, sizes and colors are putting their own spin on what it means to be fashionable and that is something people can relate to. Fashion enables us to express who we are and what we stand for, style bloggers give us the inspiration (and courage) to try something a little different. Regardless of your age, geography or bank balance, we could all use a little daily style inspiration and these bloggers deliver. Best of all, they happen to be some of the most humble, talented and generally lovely people I know. From all of us here who worked so hard on this issue, we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed creating it. May your heels be as high as your standards,

Dress up, always. I will find any excuse to dress up because for me, it just makes life more exciting. Describe your style in three words: A mix of minimalism, femininity and modern classics. What’s one go-to piece every woman should own? To be honest, it is difficult to isolate any one thing, but probably every woman should own a great red lipstick. Dress up or dress down? Totally dress up. I like layering— it provides additional opportunity to play with materials, colors and prints. What’s one fashion rule you’re proud of breaking? I began to truly love mass-market fashion. In Russia, it’s not so easy to feel comfortable, if you have no Dior bag and fur coat. Once I started a blog I no longer worried about brands and understood that the brand is not important, the main thing is the ability to combine things together.

Describe your style in three words: Comfort over everything. What’s one go-to piece every woman should own? Little black boots! Dress up or dress down? I don’t know if this is cheating, but both! I think dressing up gives a person so much more confidence and who doesn’t love confidence? I definitely don’t think a ball gown is appropriate in every day life, but not utilizing all the pretty (and less fancy) dresses in your closet is a shame. I solve this problem by “dressing down” my frocks with leather jackets, hats, boots, etc. Such an easy way to look great without feeling overdressed.
