In an ever changing World and with emphasis being placed on the Environment and Climate Change REM have embarked on a new pathway with our Carbon Footprint and Sustainability in mind. For some years now we have been changing and challenging our Supplier Base into providing product and componentry originating in the UK and on this score we have made great strides. The materials we now use are certified and carry the required standards to comply with UK Manufacturing. Our woods and packaging are FSC marked promoting the responsible management of the World’s Forests. Our printed media is trademarked by the World Land Trust as Carbon Balanced Paper. Investment in technology is constantly reducing waste in our manufacturing processes and helping us to become leaner and more cost effective in our production. Here are a few

more of the improvements we have made in reducing both our Carbon Footprint and Waste.

• Surplus wood is used to heat the factory reducing the demand for Gas

• Wood shavings and sawdust are given to local Farmers for Animal bedding

• Packaging Waste has been significantly reduced by introducing new delivery methods.

In 2022 we started working with a group called Just One Tree to help increase our Corporate Social Responsibility and reduce our Environmental Footprint. Just One Tree is an organisation dedicated to removing CO2 from the atmosphere and reversing biodiversity loss through global deforestation. In three campaigns, and with more to come, REM

are not only helping Just One Tree plant trees around the World but also helping to educate the next generation in the importance of protecting our Natural World.

Now, following Government guidelines issued during 2022 groups are being formed to help UK Manufacturing Companies prepare themselves for a Carbon Zero 2030. In August and with guidance from the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce REM joined the Green Rose, a group member of the Chamber of Low Carbon. The Green Rose programme provides support and guidance to businesses implementing a recognised environmental management system aimed at meeting the requirements of ISO 14001, 14005, BS 8555 or EMAS. It’s a long journey and we, like others, have a lot to learn but our commitment is there and in place to achieving a Net Zero 2030.

Using our industry expertise and creative flair, REM Design can help you plan your dream salon, offering advice on products, colours and layout to help you get the most out of your budget.

Whether your salon is large or small, and regardless of budget, we are always excited by the opportunity to create an environment that is stimulating, motivating and inspiring for your staff and clients.

With an extensive range of furniture to choose from, you can personalise your salon by using our REM Design service. The REM Design experience begins with one of our knowledgeable team members arranging to meet with you to discuss your project. During this visit, accurate site measurements will be taken before discussing your needs and preferences, and explaining the REM Design process - detailing styles, colours, quantities and potential layouts to help you realise your dream.

Once back in the office, our design team uses the measurements taken to create a set of bespoke scaled floor plans and 3D visuals to suit your brief. Our state-ofthe-art, industry-leading CAD technology ensures that these visuals accurately represent both your salon and our design. We combine your vision with our expertise to deliver a range of inspired designs that will accurately represent your brand.

When your requirements include items not offered on our standard range, such as reception desks, seating or styling sections, we can design and build bespoke solutions to your exact specifications using REM Bespoke.

At REM, we understand that today’s working environments have to be responsive to the changing needs of the contemporary workplace. With this in mind, the designs we offer are inspirational and tailor-made to reflect the image and reputation of your salon.

This service is available for £295+ vat, which is refunded upon placement of an order totalling £3000 or more.

Brand

At REM we offer a customised brand embroidery service to complete the look of your salon and reinforce your brand in a stylish, professional manner. We can provide detailed brand embroidery on all of your styling chairs, barbers chairs and stools.

All we require is for you to send us a full colour JPEG with your logo, specify the desired size of the embroidery, and let us do the rest. Our embroidery team has a wealth of skill and experience, and can produce accurate, consistent results throughout your entire salon.
