PHASE 1 RESEARCH AND CLINICAL CARE The Phase 1 Clinical Research Unit at Houston Methodist offers a five-bed unit, including two beds with state-of-the-art cardiopulmonary monitoring, fully staffed by registered nurses who specialize in clinical research and infusion therapy. We are committed to helping our study participants navigate through the clinical research process with confidence.
Clinical Research Facilities and Services Our hospital-based unit offers maximum clinical research capabilities, while meeting the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clinical research participants. Embedded within Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, our Phase 1 Unit offers access to the entire Houston Methodist Hospital System. Our participants also enjoy access to wireless internet services, the cafeteria and gift shop. The Cockrell Center for Advanced Therapeutics provides a full range of highly specialized procedures and technologies.
