ANNEX E - PRINCIPLES AND MISSION OF THE LULA INSTITUTE TO OBSERVE

According to its statute, the Instituto Lula is committed to Brazil’s national development and the reduction of inequalities, aiming to promote the country's socioeconomic progress, as well as sharing public and private activities aimed at eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, promoting access to education, equality, to universalize of health care, as well as promoting development based on environmental sustainability, fostering political and social participation of citizens in all spheres of the national public life.

Broadly and generally, the project requested in this Notice has a wide range of possibilities and can address the most diverse topics. There is no need to link to any specific policy. The Insituto Lula is independent of political parties or religious organizations. The work proposal must be in harmony with the principles and mission of the Insituto Lula as a promoter of human rights and gender equality, democracy, social justice, respecting the principles of legality, avoidance of self promotion, morality, publicity and efficiency .

The Insituto Lula has among its objectives: to contribute to the elaboration of proposals to overcome hunger and poverty, the reduction of all types of inequality, the end of any type of violence, based on knowledge and public policies, and encourage , defend and promote Democracy, the Democratic Rule of Law, Justice and Human Rights.
