The 3D dataset (DICOM) can be imported directly into commercially available planning softwares (e.g. coDiagnostiX™, for more information on software compatibility please go on www.neodent.com.br/ngs) and superimposed with the dental impression. The implant is positioned with respect to the patient’s anatomy and the desired prosthetic outcome.
The patient is scanned with a commercially available 3D (CB)CT scanner that delivers imaging information according to the widely accepted DICOM standard. A dental impression is required and could be done conventionally or digitally.
