Meet the Raborn Agency
Raborn Insurance, Smyrna, has served the insurance and risk management needs of businesses and families since 1973. The agency is very much a family business. Derek and Baker Raborn are both principals in the Raborn Agency that was founded by their father, Dub Raborn. While Dub has been retired for more than twenty years, he was very community minded and service oriented. Dub ensured the agency engaged in the community from the very beginning. Wayne Blair is also a principal in the agency. Together the three principals have been working to carry forward the family legacy. The agency continues to be involved in the community with Derek, Baker and Wayne actively participating in the Rotary Club of Smyrna.
One of the events they proudly support each year is the Wings of Freedom Fish Fry organized by the Rotary Club of Smyrna, which is the main service project for the organization. Since its inception, the Wings of Freedom Fish Fry has raised and returned over $1.7 million to the community improving the quality of life for children and families. By partnering with local organizations and organizing events like the Wings of Freedom Fish Fry, the Rotary Club of Smyrna has been able to provide food, shelter, education and other support to those in need.
Raborn Agency is proud to be a part of this effort to support the needs of people in the Smyrna area. Derek Raborn says, “Participation in the event is an opportunity to give back to the community and have a direct impact on people who simply need a hand up.” u
