Integral LED offers a comprehensive range of high-quality LED Strip Lights and accessories for any project or budget. Our range encompasses Strip Lights providing: Spotless, High Lumen, Neon Flex, White, Single Colour, RGB, RGBW, Colour Temperature Changing, Digital, Side Emitting, UltraThin, Extra Long and Multi-Dimension Bendable solutions across different lengths from 5M to 50M and with 12VDC, 24VDC & 48VDC variants. Integral LED have your Flexible Strip Lighting requirements covered, the appropriate Integral LED strip can be installed indoors or outdoors for accent lighting in almost any area. The wide range of brightness and colour types available all add to the versatility that Strip Lighting provides.

LED Strip Essentials

• Integral LED low voltage strips are rated at 12V DC, 24V DC and 48V DC and require a constant- voltage driver (a type of transformer to convert mains AC voltage to 12VDC, 24VDC or 48VDC)

• Integral LED strips are supplied in reels of 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50m (depending on models). The LED strip can be cut to length but only at special cut points marked on the strip. For example in a kitchen with two runs of 2.5M, you would cut the 5M strip in half (at the cutpoint), apply the strip and power each strip with an appropriate driver, or power both from the same driver. The strip could also be cut into a number of variations e.g. 4 metre only, 5 x 1 metres, a 3 and 2 metre strip

• More than one strip can be powered from a single driver. The total wattage of the strips Length x Wattage per metre (W/m) must be below 80% of the wattage rating of the 24/48VDC driver and below 90% of the wattage rating of the 12VDC driver

• Integral LED strips can be dimmed with the appropriate driver and compatible dimmer switch

What do I need to consider when installing LED Strip lighting?

• Decide where the strip will be placed and if it will be used for ambient or accent lighting

• LED strips should be installed on a smooth, stable surface that is clean and dry

• How much light do you need? Different types of light output are produced by varying the size, number and colour of LEDs on a strip

• Choose the appropriate IP rating for the area of installation (IP65 or

• Consider what kind of controller you would like. Would you like it to be able to dim your strip, change colour or both?

• Consider whether the location of your strip will require a profile for extra protection and improved heat dissipation. We strongly recommend using a profile when Wattage per Metre is higher than 15W/m

• Consider whether you need to conceal the strip, driver and cables

• Consider whether the strip will be always on or switched on and off and decide if it will be part of your lighting circuit or on a separate switch

• The final lighting effect will depend on the specific positioning of the strip, the light colour/temperature and the lumens-per-metre

How do I choose an LED Driver?

An LED driver can also be known as Electrical Control Gear (ECG), power supply, transformer or converter. An LED driver is used to transform/ convert the main AC voltage to DC voltage. UK main AC input voltage is 220 – 240VAC. It is important to note that the LED strip only works from a DC voltage input supplied by your chosen ECG unit.

Note: When choosing an LED driver, we recommend that you check the AC input voltage of the country that the product will be installed in and make sure that the LED driver covers the AC voltage required. LED drivers with an AC input voltage range of 85-264VAC can be used all over the world.

• Ensure you check your strip specification and confirm the voltage. 12VDC and 24VDC are the most common for LED strips, occasionally you may find 5VDC, 36VDC or 48VDC

• Always find out the total wattage that is required for the strips before installation

• LED constant voltage drivers are sold separately

• Integral stock a wide range of LED drivers from 8 watts to 480 watts

• The specification of the driver required will depend on the total power requirement of the connected strip(s)

• The power output of the driver (wattage) must be at least 10% higher than the total required wattage of the 12VDC strip(s) being powered and 20% higher than the total required wattage of the 24VDC/48VDC strip(s) being powered

IP20/IP33 IP65 IP67

Example 1: If you are installing 5 LED strips (12VDC) of 1 metre each and the power requirement of each 1 metre strip is 6W/m, the total power requirement is 6 watts x 5 metres = 30 watts. The power rating of the driver should be a least 10% above 30W, i.e. a minimum of 33W.

Example 2: If you are installing 5 LED strips (24VDC) of 1 metre each and the power requirement of each 1 metre strip is 12 watts per metre, the total power requirement is 12 watts x 5 metres = 60 watts. The power rating of the driver should be a least 20% above 60W, i.e. a minimum of 72W. See Integral LED Driver range on page 64.

What IP Rating should my LED driver have?

IP rating stands for “Ingress Protection”. This rating determines the level of protection against water and dust. Before choosing your driver check the IP rating of the strip(s) you are installing. Integral offer LED drivers rated IP20, IP65 and IP67.

An IP20 driver is used for dry and dust free areas such as celling coves, display cabinets, bedrooms and living rooms (indoor only).

An IP65 driver is an appropriate fitting to use for indoor and outdoor wet installations that will not encounter prolonged exposure to water.

An IP67 driver offers advanced protection against short periods of water immersion that can occur during extreme weather conditions.

Selecting the right receiver for my LED strip?

Constant Voltage LED receivers provide various options for extended functionality, from simple dimming for Single-Colour LED strips, through Colour-Tunable White strips, to RGB/RGB+W Colour-Changing and Digital RGB strips. As with LED drivers, Constant Voltage receivers have a Voltage range most commonly between 5VDC and 48VDC, and maximum Power Output limit that varies depending on the Input Voltage of the Strip. LED Strip - Spotless

This specialised strip utilises very small LEDs (22:16) arranged in a close formation that effectively eliminates the visible shadow present in many LED strips. This creates the effect of one continuous line of light, particularly when installed within an appropriate aluminium profile*. The Spotless Strip also has a high colour rendering index of CRI 90 and is very bright up to 1550 lm/M, which means the strip can be used to create custom luminaires.

LED Strip - 12V Single Colour

Integral LED strips are produced to a high standard to ensure consistency in colour across the strip and are available as either indoor (IP20/IP33) and outdoor (IP67) versions. IP67 strip has high quality silicone that encapsulates the strip, making it weatherproof. Each 5m reel is supplied with an easy-to-follow installation guide and appropriate fitting accessories for the LED strip. 3M backing tape is pre-applied to all Integral strips to simplify the installation process. Additional accessories are available to suit specific installation requirements.

A 50M reel is also available on selected models. This is for customers who wish to cut down to multiple shorter strip lengths.

Install multiple LED strips and/or low voltage lights with an easy-to-install plug-and-play driver and the option to be controlled by one or more separate sensors.

Install without a Sensor if required

Plug in the driver and add one or up to 5/7 LED strips or lights. With no sensor, the lights are controlled by the driver being on or off.

Install a Master Sensor to control all the connected strips and lights

Connect a master sensor (see options) to the driver to control all the connected strips and lights in sync. e.g, If a handwave sensor is installed in a kitchen project, all connected strips and lights are turned on and off with a handwave.

Install Channel Sensors to control each port individually. Connect suitable channel sensors (see options) in line with each power port. (With no Master sensor fitted*). The strips and lights are separately controlled. e.g., If a Turn on/off and a door sensor are installed in a cabinet project. The strips

LED Multiport Driver and Sensor
