Congratulations, 2013 Holiday Decorating Winners Congratulations to the residents who were recognized for outstanding decorations during the 2013 holiday season. Every year, Union residents show their holiday spirit with creative, festive lighting and decorations on their homes and in their yards. The Union Park Board and staff appreciate the efforts made by the citizens participating in decorating for the holidays. The City of Union wishes to thank everyone who decorated their home.

Opt Out of Salespeople Knocking on Your Door Union’s “Do-Not-Solicit” ordinance lets residents sign up to “opt out” of having solicitors/peddlers come to their home. You can sign up any time and your address will be added to the list. Once a person is signed up, the address will remain on the Do-Not-Solicit list until the next time a new registration list is created (which is every five years), but you always have the option to withdraw or add your address at any time. If you would like to be added to the Do-Not- Solicit list, please download the form online at http://bit.ly/SGd6AD, complete the form and return it to City Hall. 2

Construction Now Underway at Union Global Logistics Airpark A vision for the City of Union that was set in motion nearly a decade ago is soon to be reality. The Union Global Logistics Airpark was chosen as the site of a 1.8-million-square-foot distribution center, now under construction, which will employ more than 1,000 people when completed. The $90 million facility is located on 140 acres near the northwest section of Jackson Road and Dog Leg Road, just west of the Dayton International Airport. The Airpark features outstanding access to interstates as well as rail and air systems. The industrial property was purchased by Delaware-based ProLogis Logistics Services Inc., the largest owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate in the U.S. ProLogis is building the center and will lease it to the end user.
