What impact does social media have on the minds of developing students? What happens when we expose children to a seemingly endless stream of ‘fake news’ and online culture of outrage at an in comprehensively wide array of subjects, and then allow keyboard warriors, confident in their anonymity, to bully, harass and cajole them? What kind of world are we creating and what might the long-term impacts be? In an effort to better understand these issues, we speak with Candice Odgers, Professor of Psychological Science at the University of California Irvine and a Research Professor in the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.
