UTA NAS CONDUCT IN

AS SOCIAL SOCIAIS MEDIA

InterCement respects and supports freedom of expression Social media are gaining increasingly more space in communication between people. For companies, they have become a valuable resource for interaction with clients, professionals, suppliers and other strategic publics. This document contains recommendations InterCement professionals should observe when using social media and in situations related to the company. InterCement has not released access to all Internet addresses. The recommendations shown here are valid for accesses made in and out of the company environment and based on company, personal or public equipment. The points listed here complement the principles established in our Code of Conduct and in Information, Communication and Press Relations Safety Policies that should be observed by all InterCement professionals.

The main document to be observed by InterCement professionals is the Code of Conduct. It is the guide for behavior and attitudes everyone should adopt.

Below we number the core points you should observe when participating in social media, in topics related to InterCement.

1

PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Be careful when disclosing personal information. Most social media sites permit the configuration of privacy options. Invest some time to learn these resources and ensure that only those participants you define will have access to your information.

2

CLEARLY IDENTIFY YOURSELF

Do not hide you are and do not assume an identity other than your own. If you are participating in a conversation related to InterCement in some way, make it clear you work for the company. This can be done in the profile information or told directly to media members, when applicable.

3

MAKE CORRECT USE OF LANGUAGE

Make sure your texts are written correctly, without spelling or agreement errors, and avoid excess abbreviations. Never use rude language and be sure your participation, whether in writing or commenting, never contains any sort of discrimination in terms of race, creed, sexual orientation, social position or any other form of prejudice.

4

NEVER DISCLOSE COMPANY INFORMATION

Never publish content, comments or information related to the company or its relations with InterCement stakeholders. If you identify any comment that deserves the company’s attention, contact Communications or the ethics line.

5

RESPECT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Be sure you do not violate any copyrights or intellectual property rights. Never encourage or participate in illegal acts, such as unauthorized downloads, nor participate in media that stimulates piracy, pornography or any other type of criminal act.

6

WHAT TO DO WHEN IN DOUBT

You may come across a situation or a comment when you do not know how to proceed. In such cases, seek guidance from Communications.

7

SPEAK ONLY ABOUT WHAT YOU KNOW

Only speak on behalf of InterCement if designated to do so. If you are not responsible for or a specialist in the area, make this clear to the media participants and try to direct the communication to the person responsible at InterCement for that matter. Never publish information about which you have no knowledge or certainty.

8

CONTROVERSY AND CRITICISM

If you identify controversy or criticism involving InterCement activities, inform Communications. Do not get involved in discussions about which you have no technical information or if you are not the company spokesperson for that subject. Remember it is one thing to “talk about InterCement” and something entirely different to “talk on behalf of InterCement”.

9

THINK BEFORE GIVING YOUR OPINION Respect your audience, regardless of who it is and what opinion they gave. Whatever is posted in the media can be quickly reproduced and remain in the digital environment for a long time. Thus, it is important to think and evaluate the impacts your post or comment may cause to you and the company. You are the only one responsible for the information you disclose on social media. Dialogue and interaction on social media have a very rapid dynamic, but remember that it is one thing to “talk about InterCement” and something entirely different to “talk on behalf of InterCement” If you are not the spokesperson, do not speak on behalf of the company. Consult Communications to learn how to proceed.

If you have any doubts on how to proceed in specific situations, consult your manager or Communications for instructions. Your contributions for this document are welcome: write to integracao@intercement.com and send your suggestion.
