It all started with a sketch on a napkin...
It started as a project to create a training tool that could help the inventor and former NHL draft pick, Per Mårs to maximize his own off-ice training before the upcoming ice hockey season.
He tried traditional rigid roller hockey chassis but had issues with the skating feel and the balance being way too far from skating on ice. An idea of developing something that would transfer the feel of skating on ice to roller while challenging his balance and improving his skating technique was born. However, it wasn’t until many years later in 2008 after he had quit his professional hockey career due to injuries when he decided to take his ideas into action and drew his first sketch on a napkin at a local restaurant.
In the Late 2009, the first prototype of the Marsblade Roller Frame was developed and tested, the result was not as good as Per hoped, but he didn’t give up and just a couple of months later during a cold Swedish winter day a new and improved prototype was tested in a parking garage. This time the results were better than he could have ever imagined.
Up until this point, it had only been a project aiming to develop a product that could help himself become a better hockey player. However, after testing the improved prototype in the garage, he quickly realized that he was onto something big and something that could help a lot of hockey players out there and that’s when Marsblade and Flow
Motion Technology was born. The rest is history and since then the vision and our mission have been clear and Marsblade has continued to develop superior and innovative products for hockey players and expanded its product portfolio with the Marsblade FE for competitive ice hockey and the Marsblade R1 for competitive roller hockey.
Today, Marsblade products powered by Flow Motion Technology are used by players of all levels, ranging from some of the best players in the NHL to kids and recreational players worldwide.

Flow Motion Technology is the core of the I2 and is the key to the holder’s crucial benefits. The human body is developed to move with smooth movements to be as energy efficient, fast, and powerful as possible. The rocking motion of the patented Flow Motion Technology bringing your natural movement pattern to the ice improves all aspects of skating, including: Increased power transfer, quicker turns, better balance, and improved glide.

The O1 chassis is developed to maximize hockey players off-ice training. All design features such as the rocker, spring, pitch and balance points are optimized to offer an efficient tool and the best conditions for hockey players to improve their onice skills off the ice. The O1 is consciously designed to create an imbalance and constantly challenge players balance, activate the core and stabilizer muscles to improve on-ice performance.

R1 is designed for competitive Roller Hockey and is completely optimized for in game performance in terms of the rocker, pitch and balance pints as well as choice of material. The design and materials have rigorously been tested for maximum skating performance while being able to withstand the tough stress that competitive Roller Hockey requires. The unique rocking motion is created by the rounded INSERT RADIUS, which is attached to the CHASSIS, rocking against a flat part of the STEEL. The SPRING HOLDER, which connects the STEEL and the CHASSIS, ensures with the SPRING that the steel returns to its original position when no preassure is attached on the heel part of the holder. Players can adjust the amount of rocking to their own skating references by switching INSERT RADIUS. STEEL and / or INSERT RADIUS are easily changed by unhook the SPRING HOLDER from the steel with a pointed tool.

Coustmize the rocker
I2 holders can easily be coustomized to the players individual skating style by switching between 5 different Radius Inserts. These inserts offer a varied range of rocker movement. Regardless of the inserts selected the player will benefit from the Flow Motion Technology and improve all aspects of skating by extending the steel contact with the ice. The I2 holder comes pre-mounted with 23 ft Radius Insert. To ensure maximized performance, we strongly recommend all players to try the 5 different inserts to find the setting that best suits their skating style and preference.

The unique rocking motion is created by a rounded UPPER CHASSIS rocking against a flat LOWER CHASSIS. The rocker replicates the radius shaped ice blade to simulate skating on-ice. The rocker is also designed to purposely challenge players balance to activate the core and stabilizer muscles in order to improve on-ice skating performance. Players can adjust the rocking motion and level of challenge by tighten or loosen the M8 bolt and/or switching between STANDARD and ADVANCED WHEEL SETUPS.
