Project Understanding

The incorporation of the Children's Museum of Phoenix into the h Monroe Street Abbey formerly known as the First Baptist Churc potential to enhance the community of Downtown Phoenix. The imagination, inspiration and creativity, and is tai ored for childre ages of 0-10 The museum spans over 48,000 square feet and of 300 different play experiences.

The addition of this Annex location will increase the museum's a by over 150,000 visitors and expand the range of exhibits available This development will directly benefit young children local partners, schools and social organizat ons

Desert Garden Integration

The Children's Museum of Phoenix draws its inspiration from the Arizona Desert which is home to a diverse range of plants and animals. At the Children's Museum of Phoenix, we aim to encourage an appreciation for our local ecosystems and raise awareness about their importance We take inspirat on from the natural colors and forms of the Arizona Desert and incorporate them throughout the museum

Experiment with scale to provide a memorab e experience and enhance imagination Encourage play and bonding through immersive zones Incorporate plants, animals, and other aspects of the desert
