Nature and its patterns provide the key inspiration for this project. We create strong three dimensional volumes within the interior as a way to envelope each space. For the material look and feel palette of Yoko Pharma, we abstract patterns, textures, and colors from biology, the core subject of the business. Repetition of forms, whether they are circular, striated, trianglular, or any other shape, mimic patterns and textures found in biology and creates an experiential connection to the brand. By appropriating different scales and material usage, we give different spaces a coherence that can be felt throughout the building.

INTRODUCTION YOKO Pharma HQ in Nanjing is situated within the Jiangsu Life Sciences Innovation Park, about 30 minutes north east of Nanjing’s City Center. Located across a Main Campus Road from the Lake, the Yoko HQ Building has an ideal site with south facing entrance and expansive view of the Campus landscape. To the North are views of the nearby Xi Xia Shan. The Yoko Pharma HQ building is 6 floors, approximately 9000 square meters including Basement. Main approach to the Building is from the South, both for vehicles and pedestrians.

Interior Design of this space is aim to creat a flexible space for designers’ working. According to the company’s orientation, concept to put whole interior space as a city block. Use architecture language to create interior working space. This project also work for prictical needs, it designed after invesiitigation for user company. Based on the research conculsion, function area and circulation was built very effeciently.

Both architecture and interior could show the developement and mordern work style of Suning. Suning Headquarters is the mountain, the solid rock that stands firmly on the earth. Suning Headquarters reflects the corporation’s tradition of store-based retail sales and real estate development. Suning.com is the mountain mist that well represents the virtual nature of the internet, and dotcom business specifically that Suning.com has already begun to master.

The other factor is the concept of connections made inside the building, which are inspired by the various bridge elements. Staircases are created as a “bridge” to connect multiple three-dimensional boxes in the interior space. These are defined as “talking boxes” in the irregular shape and they are individual elements placed outside the essentially functional space on each floor. Manipulating these boxes in different locations in the atrium and using a “bridge” to connect them, develops an interactive relationship with other areas, which informs the concept of connecting this disadvantaged group to society.

This renovation design project is titled as REGENERATION. Regeneration evokes the idea of a revolution of the social connection between homeless people and society. The outside connection, where taking advantage of the multi-functional site’s character to form a micro-society around this project. This kind of neighborhood circle can promote minimalist practices within the project itself. Users do not only receive career education within the center but they also get convenient access to the neighboring workshops, galleries and offices. This indicates a combination of theory and practice.
