From small to large retailers, Computers for Flooring has solutions

Computers for Flooring launched Carman, its flooring management software, at The Flooring Show in 2010 and it has been a constant presence at the show since.

‘The Flooring Show has been a great place to showcase our software and meet customers old and new. The flooring industry has been a difficult sector for us as an IT provider to break into, but as our customer base has grown Carman has grown to become a full management application,’ says Kris Bailey, Computers for Flooring md.

‘Employing a team of software developers we have been able to keep up with the latest advancements in technology, and the customer base for Carman now ranges from small retailers with a single shop holding very little stock up to large, multi-channel businesses who may hold large amounts of stock at multiple sites and have a mixture of retail, contract/commercial, new build, wholesale and online business.’

The company has an in-depth knowledge of the flooring industry and understands the industry’s complexities and provides solutions in the form of its ever-evolving management software, Carman.

‘Most of our staff have been with the company for a long time, and some of them have been with us from the beginning. We value their service and the experience they bring to our customers and business, and they have helped us grow,’ says Bailey.

The directors of the company are software developers and have worked with some of the largest manufacturers in the world. They are focused on delivering a quality product to the flooring industry, keeping up with technology trends and creating future innovations such as the recently developed Carman powered e-commerce website which seamlessly connects to the flooring management software, Carman, and allows users to sell the products in Carman.

The company offers a turnkey solution, but as it develops the software in-house it can also offer a bespoke service.
