What is the Crystal Trophy Award?
Who can apply?
The Crystal Trophy Award recognises and rewards the achievements of local groups and organisations who are working to improve health and wellbeing in Cwm Taf (Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil).
The Crystal Trophy Awards are open to any community project that contributes to the promotion of healthy lifestyles and prevention of ill health. The Awards are open to new or established projects that support individuals, groups or families living in the Cwm Taf area.
The award is funded by the Health Improvement Team at the Welsh Government and is supported locally by the Strategic Partnerships of Cwm Taf.
How to apply? Nominations are welcomed from members of the community who benefit from health & wellbeing projects along with self and peer nominations. Projects funded by Local Authorities, Health Board or Public Health Wales are not eligible to apply however, staff may nominate community groups that they have worked with.
THE CLOSING DATE FOR NOMINATIONS IS Friday 8th March 2013

Selection process and prizes Entries will be assessed by a small panel of judges consisting of representatives of communities in Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr Tydfil, the third sector, Cwm Taf Health Board and Public Health Wales. The winners will be invited to attend the Crystal Trophy Awards Ceremony in April to celebrate their success, talk about their projects and receive their awards.
