Job Title: Board Member Rhondda Cynon Taff Citizens Advice Bureau will launch as a county wide service from April 1st building on the strong foundations established by the Rhondda Taff CAB. Our registered office is in Pontypridd with a second main office in the Cynon Valley which is soon to move into more modern premises in Mountain Ash. Following the transfer of staff and services from the former Cynon Valley CAB last October the new bureau’s priorities for the coming year are to deliver the high quality and accessible service which local communities throughout the county both want and need. With the recent retirement of two very committed trustees and our treasurer coming to the end of his term of office we are looking to expand our Board of Trustees by recruiting committed board members who possess the relevant skills to support the progress of business development. We would particularly like to hear from individuals with a background in Finance, Business and Commercial Networking, Health & Social Care, Marketing, Communications (including Social Media), Income Generation & experience of Welsh Language service delivery issues. If you feel you have the relevant experience and knowledge then this is an excellent opportunity to make a difference within a dynamic local charity. All expenses are paid at the normal Bureau rate for volunteers. Training and comprehensive induction will be provided.
