CIT has credit transfer arrangements with numerous universities, enabling students to receive one to two years credit towards certain degrees. Because CIT offers nationally recognised qualifications accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), students can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to most universities within Australia and receive credit towards a degree, even where formal credit transfer arrangements are not in place. “I really enjoyed my transition from Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) to the Diploma of Nursing because it helped build experience and background in the health care industry, and this easily helped me get a job. One of the greatest services I really enjoyed that CIT provided was the financial support and counselling services. The support from the staff and teachers helped me feel better when I was feeling home sick.”

JULIEN ALVAREZ COLOMBIA DIPLOMA OF BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION (BUILDING)

“Just by reading the titles of the courses that CIT offered, I knew that CIT could provide exactly what I was looking for. The courses are practical and the site visits gives you a better picture of what you are going to be facing when you complete your course. One of the greatest things about Canberra is that people are very supportive with foreigners and they’re very patient with nonnative english speakers.”

Once you have confirmation that you’re able to apply to CIT directly (see page 112) you can apply online through international.cit.edu.au/apply

The particular requirements will indicate your country’s evidentiary risk level when applying for study with CIT.

CIT requires prospective students who are applying from a country nominated as a high evidentiary risk level to apply through CIT Educational Agent.
