All selected students were divided into 2 groups as control and experimental group. Students of experimental group were assigned outdoor assignments and after completion, all students of both groups were tested using same question paper. Collected data was tabulated and analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t value as statistical tools.

Data table related to male students shows that for control group mean value is 52 and for experiment group is 63. Calculated t value is 0.81 which is significant at 0.05 level. For knowledge, control group exhibits mean value 58 while experiment group exhibit 64 and 0.89 t value. In the matter of curiosity, control and experiment group shows 62 and 67 mean value, 0.88 t value. Hence hypothesis 1,

Chart: Status of Influence of Outdoor assignments on Academic Development of Students Female students related data exhibits mean value for confidence as 49 and 62 for control and experiment group respectively. t value is calculated as 0.93 significant at 0.05 level. In the matter of knowledge, control group got 59 and experiment group got 66 mean value with 1.04 t value significant at 0.05 level. For curiosity obtained mean value are 60 and 64 for control and experiment group respectively and 0.86 as t value. Thus hypothesis 2, there is no significant role of outdoor assignments for academic development of female higher secondary students is rejected.

Conclusion: Outdoor assignments are helpful for academic development of students. Such assignments increase knowledge, confidence, working pattern, curiosity which are important elements of academic development.
