Dr. Samuel Mettler Nutritionist for Swiss Sports School Magglingen and University of Zurich

Dr. Samuel Mettler is senior lecturer in sports nutrition for different Universities (i.e. ETH Zurich, Applied University of Bern, Federal Office of Sport). As nutritionist for the Federal Office of Sport he is working with coaches, teams and athletes in different sports. Evidence based practice and transferring science to difficult space of sports nutrition is one of his main interests.


Martin Rinderer BSc Head of Nutrition at Olympic Center Vorarlberg, Dornbirn/Austria .

Since 2014, Martin Rinderer works for the Olympic Center Vorarlberg in Dornbirn/Austria, a training center certified by the Austrian Olympic Committee (Ă–OC). As the head of sports nutrition he coaches a bunch of top female and male athletes in different sports like alpine skiing, cross country skiing, biathlon, snowboarding, sailing, soccer and various martial arts. In addition to his nutrition expertise he's book author and sport physiotherapist, too. Martin´s expertise is in the field of nutrition diagnostics and their practical daily integration. Together with the Olympic Center departments in sports science and sports medicine he developed diagnostic protocols for different sports and goals. In addition to 1-to-1 coachings he develops and optimizes nutritional systems around the athletes to help them to live a professional and healthy lifestyle everywhere. An important part of his work is to transfer nutrition knowledge and practical (cooking) skills to youth athletes in sport schools and youth performance centers - nutrition is very important for a healthy upgrowth and not only for performance.


Dr. Jenny Shute MBE FIS Lead Welfare Officer; Vice-Chairman FIS Medical Committee; member Youth and Children’s Coordination Group and Alpine SC.

Jenny was Lead Welfare Officer for her National Ski Association (GBR) from 2002 until 2010. During this time, she wrote the policies for her NSA and led the implementation. She was responsible for background checks on staff and volunteers, and sat on the case management committee. She continues to sit on the British Snowsports safeguarding steering group. Jenny leads the GBR delegation to FIS, and along with other members from GBR was responsible for proposing a safeguarding clause to the FIS Statutes and ICR at FIS Congress 2016, subsequently adopted. Jenny represented FIS on the virtual task force for the IOC Toolkit for prevention of harassment and abuse in sport, and took part in the formal launch in November 2017. She is co-author of a new chapter on harassment and abuse in sport in the textbook Clinical Sports Medicine. FIS Council tasked Jenny with writing policies for FIS, and with the help of a small working group she has produced the FIS Snow Safe Policy, which was agreed and promoted by FIS Council in Costa Navarino. Jenny’s professional background is as a family medical practitioner.
